The 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric (HE) Project is anticipated to be finished by May of this
year, and two units, each with a capacity of 250 MW, will be put into service by June of this year,
according to information provided on Saturday by NHPC officials to the deputy chief minister of
Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein.
The remaining 6 units, which have a combined capacity of 2000 MW, will be finished by June 2024,
according to NHPC officials.
On Saturday, the deputy chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh went to the Gerakamukh, Lower
Subansiri, location of the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project.
Ajay Kumar Bisht, secretary of power, Balo Raja, Tarin Dakpe, Taniya Soki, and Rode Bui, as well as
CE DHPD R. K. Joshi, were in attendance with Mein.
To assess the project’s progress, the dignitaries went to the various locations.
He commended the project execution team and expressed appreciation for the work’s
advancement.
The project, which NHPC Ltd has been in charge of since 2000, is almost finished, with 86% of the
entire development done thus far.
