Volvo buses round the clock for Kolkata airport
In Kolkata, passengers flying in and out of the city airport would soon be able to avail Volvo bus service round the clock. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) on July 30.
In addition to a luxury ride in sprawling Volvo buses, the fliers would also be in line to get a proper lowdown on taxi fares from a touch screen kiosk to be installed by the Bidhannagar police in the airport premises.
Haryana’s Hisar, Karnal to have domestic airports
The Union government has cleared two domestic airports at Karnal and Hisar in Haryana. The Union government said the airport sites were selected on account of technical feasibility, security, aviation needs and other logistics. Nashik District Guardian Minister and State Public Works Department Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has said that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has shown interest in participating in the development work of Ozar airport, around 20 km from Nashik city.
