CIDCO to extend deadline to respond to RFQs

CIDCO, the nodal body overseeing the planned Navi Mumbai airport project, plans to extend the time for companies to respond to the request for qualifications (RFQs) for the project by more than a month. The date has been extended to 30 July from 18 June, so the interested companies can submit their audited accounts for the last financial year ended 31 March.

CIDCO Managing Director Sanjay Bhatia said it has been approved by the project monitoring and implementation committee and has now gone to the civil aviation ministry for approval. Overall, 20 companies were part of the pre-bid meeting on 2 April. Separately, CIDCO has also floated a tender for interested contractors to prepare the land for construction of the airport. The site currently has small hills that need to be cleared.
