Dhamra port will be the first to implement the relevant provisions of the newly introduced Railway Initiatives for Infrastructure Investments. According to the provisions, after 30 years the Indian Railways (IR) will become the owner of the land provided by Orissa Government for constructing the railway line on the stretch between Bhadrak and the port. Dhamra has constructed the line and will be responsible for its maintenance.
