GMR says bad times are over for its airport biz

In this fiscal, GMR Infrastructure is hopeful of registering decent growth in its airport vertical. The company which operates in three business segments including power, roads and airport incurred a loss of Rs 179 crore in the September quarter, up around four fold, YoY due to poor show from its power and airport segments.

Sidharath Kapur, Chief Financial Office-airports at GMR said that the company is likely to see a revival in passenger traffic with new routes being started from the Delhi airport which will help bottom out de-growth.

Delhi International Airport (DIAL), which the company runs has incurred a net loss of Rs 41.16 crore during the second quarter and has accumulated losses of Rs 1,625.19, resulting in substantial erosion of net worth at the quarter end.
