Rajasthan government redrafted the Jodhpur master plan taking into account the fact that a stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai industrial Corridor (DMIC) would fall in the city.

The state government has reportedly included several different provisions in the existing master plan taking into account the fact that the DMIC would pass through Jodhpur.

With DMIC coming in the area, Jodhpur is going to be the major growth centre not only in state but also in the country, reports indicate. So, the state government planned the master plan accordingly. It helps in regulating and promoting the development, media reports indicate.

Meanwhile, the government has prepared the master plan of Barmer and the final draft may be released in next few days.
