The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has commissioned its first 10 MW solar project at Panipat Thermal Power Station. The solar plant, on its first day, generated nearly 10,000 units. The project was awarded in May 2016, to Sterling and Wilson Pvt. Ltd who commissioned in 36 days prior to its scheduled date. The total cost of the project is Rs.57.67 crore. The operation and maintenance of the project would be looked after by EPC contractor initially for five years.
