The Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE) 2026 in November will unite stakeholders across the global renewable energy value chain under one roof.
As India inches closer to two landmark achievements in its clean energy journey, Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi on Thursday announced the maiden edition of the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE), to be held over four days in November.
“India will soon cross the landmark of 300 GW of installed non‑fossil fuel capacity… The [household rooftop solar programme] PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is expected to cross 5 million beneficiary households in the coming weeks,” Joshi said while delivering the keynote address at the BRESE 2026 curtain‑raiser event in New Delhi.
Joshi informed a gathering of industry leaders and diplomats that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate BRESE 2026, which, for the first time, will bring together three major renewable energy events under one platform. These include BRESE 2026, the ninth session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly, and the fourth International Conference on Green Hydrogen.
“The summit will bring together leading renewable energy developers, technology companies, manufacturers, battery storage firms, green hydrogen pioneers, financial institutions, international organisations, and investors, ensuring representation of the entire renewable energy value chain under one roof. Invitations have been extended to 34 countries for the BRESE Summit, while the ISA has invited 128 countries for the assembly,” Joshi added.
Joshi added that the prime minister’s presence reflects India’s commitment to renewable energy as a pillar of Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and its contribution to global sustainable development. Describing BRESE as a milestone in India’s engagement with the global renewable energy community, he said it reflects sectoral growth, emerging opportunities, and the country’s commitment to global collaboration in advancing the clean energy transition.
“The event will foster new partnerships, catalyse investments, promote innovation, and strengthen international cooperation in the renewable energy sector,” he said.
During the curtain raiser, Joshi also unveiled the official logo of BRESE 2026, the URJHA Chakra (Energy Wheel), along with its digital portal and mobile application.
