Kochi to become Air India Express’ headquarters from Jan

The Uniion Minister of State for Civil Aviation KC Venugopal has stated that the headquarters of Air India Express (AIE) will start functioning from Kochi from January 1.

The Minister said that the decision to shift the AIE headquarters from Mumbai to Kochi was taken sometime back. But it was delayed due to various reasons. Now the government has taken a final decision, and the chief operating officer (COO) and all other top officials will start functioning at the Kochi office from January 1.

Venugopal said AIE would make announcements in Malayalam in its flights in the Gulf sector. The crew in the airline will be given training to deal with passengers. Also, PR setups of AIE will be strengthened in airports at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Mangalore.
