LCL Logistix decided to operate a new service from its Container Freight Station (CFS) at Nhava Sheva to Klaipeda, LithuaniaÂ’s Baltic port.

This would be a new less than container load (LCL) groupage service from India to the BalticÂ’s and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The company feels that this service provides the longest and cheapest way to the Baltic and CIS from India, with dedicated boxes into Klaipeda and frequent transshipments to destination.

On entrance, containers are transferred to the capital, Vilnius, where they are broken down and shipments then transferred to every destination country.

UAB Transtira, which is a partner of LCL Logistix, will handle inland transportation. UAB Transtira is one of the region’s largest transport operators with a fleet of 400 vehicles.
Sailing times are 31 days port-to-port, and road transfers to furthest inland destinations takes a further seven days.
