In Mangalore, residents of Nanthoor, Bikarnakatte, Bajjodi and Jayashree Gate on October 3 protested at the Nanthoor Circle against the pathetic condition of the road at Nanthoor Junction.
The road is in a pathetic condition without proper gradient and footpaths. The residents are forced to put up with slush and pot holes in monsoon and dust bath during other times. Apart from this, the unscientific construction of the circle is making the lives of the residents miserable.
NHAI authorities said that the section will be asphalted immediately after the rains and the problem of rainwater overflowing will not be there since a fly over will be constructed with a cross drain and footpaths there.
