POWERGRID Holds 37th AGM, Showcases Strong Growth and High System Availability

At the AGM, POWERGRID outlined its financial performance, operational milestones, growth prospects, and technologydriven initiatives.

The 37th annual general meeting (AGM) of state‑run transmission utility Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd (POWERGRID), was held virtually on August 20.

Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Chairman & Managing Director, chaired the meeting in the presence of Yatindra Dwivedi, Director of Personnel, Naveen Srivastava, Director of Operations, Amol Taori, Director of Finance, and Abhay Bakre, government nominee director. Shareholders joined through virtual mode.

During the AGM, the company presented its key financial highlights, operational achievements, future growth prospects, technological innovations, and initiatives. Queries raised by shareholders were addressed by the management, who received appreciation for the company’s performance and growth trajectory.

As of July 31, POWERGRID has commissioned and is operating 292 substations, more than 186,889 circuit kilometres (ckm) of transmission lines, and 637,016 megavolt‑amperes (MVA) of transformation capacity.

With the adoption of advanced technological tools, automation, and digital solutions, POWERGRID has maintained an average transmission system availability of more than 99.81 per cent.
