Punjab State Power Corporation (PSPCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lanco Infratech to set up a 1,320 MW (2×660 MW) supercritical technology based thermal plant at Bathinda. The project is estimated to cost between Rs 5,000-6,000 crore. The plant will be set up over 1,200 acres of land.
