Railway Budget 2011-12 initiates set up of a bridge factory in Jammu and Kashmir, as the J&K rail link project involves a large number of bridges. Set up of two more wagon units under JV/PPP mode, one each in Kolar and Alappuzha, Kerala, and one more at Buniadpur were proposed.
