Excited about potential in this market; especially in the run-up to the 100 Smart Cities Project

Ramboll, a leading engineering, design and consultancy company founded in Denmark in 1945, has announced its continued commitment to the Indian market and its plan to make bigger investments in the region. The company has bolstered its business plan for India in the view of exciting business opportunities alongside the country?s 100 Smart Cities Project.

Jens-Peter Saul, CEO, Ramboll Group, recently met with M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Urban Development and Freddy Svane, Denmark?s Ambassador to India, key clients, select partners and employees. The meeting with the Embassy and Ministry officials was focussed on the potential areas of collaboration where Denmark and Ramboll could contribute to the country?s 100 Smart Cities Project.

Ramboll has played a central role in the development of some truly world-class cities such as Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo and has worked on high profile liveable cities projects globally, such as the Chicago Lakeside and Copenhagen?s Nordhavn. Specific areas of partnership such as urban development, master planning, solid waste management, sanitation and water management were discussed at the meeting.

?Ramboll has acquired a prestigious client base in India over the past decade. We have firmed up our investment plans and stay committed to our clients and community to achieve sustainable solutions that impact the end-users and the society as a whole,? said Pawan Maini, Managing Director, Ramboll India.
