RECPDCL Hands Over ₹ 8.40 Billion Luhri Transmission SPV to Terralight Solar

REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of power sector financier REC Ltd under the Ministry of Power, has handed over Luhri Power Transmission Ltd, the project‑specific special purpose vehicle (SPV), to the successful bidder Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari Pvt. Ltd.

Terralight Solar Energy Tinwari emerged as the successful bidder through the tariff‑based competitive bidding process conducted by RECPDCL, the bid process coordinator, for the establishment of a transmission system for evacuation of power from Sunni Dam Hydroelectric Project (HEP) and Luhri Stage‑I HEP on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.

The transmission project broadly envisages the establishment of a 400/200 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) at Nange Pooling Station in Himachal Pradesh, along with a 400 kV Nange Pooling Station‑to‑Koldam direct‑current line of about 50 km and other associated works.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by October 15, in alignment with the commissioning timelines of the hydro generation projects, at an estimated cost of ₹ 8.40 billion.
