With its consistent double-digit growth, the Indian civil aviation industry has ushered in a new era of expansion for the allied services related to aviation besides airlines, airports, i.e., air cargo, MRO, catering, online travel agency, travel portals, etc.
The reactions are positive and industry is also quite optimistic on the introduction of NCAP 2016. For a new policy of sustainable and orderly growth of aviation sector in the country, the Union Civil Aviation Ministry has prepared a white paper, the Rajya Sabha was told on March 22. To have a sustainable and orderly growth of the aviation sector, the Ministry has felt the need to spell out a long-term Civil Aviation Policy to address various issues related to the sector, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation KC Venugopal said.
