By March 2014, Punjab is all set to complete the Rs 3,284 crore project of four and six laning of four major roads of 400 km length. This was informed by State PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon in Chandigarh on May 15.

Chandigarh gets Rs 36.63 cr for road repairs, other works

This is the second annual financial grant of the Corporation, which had been pending with the administration for the last four to five months. Model solar cities
The Union New and Renewable Energy Ministry is to develop 41 cities, including Chandigarh, Nagpur, Mysore and Gandhinagar, as model solar cities. The list of proposed solar model cities also includes Gandhinagar, Nagpur and Chandigarh.
