Global tenders have been invited by the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) for speedy establishment of containerised cargo handling. The Rs 387-crore project will be constructed in build-operate-transfer mode, say media reports. The facility will help shifting goods faster.

To handle containerised cargo at the Netaji Subhas Dock (NSD) of Kolkata port, eleven companies have shown initial interest to participate in a tender. The 11 firms have participated in a pre-bid techno-commercial conference.

Tenders have been invited by the Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) for mechanised handling of containerised cargo at three out of the 12 berths in the Netaji Subhas Dock (NSD) of the Kolkata port. The port authorities have called for a pre-bid techno-commercial conference on November 15. The last date for submission of the bids is December 3.
