Udupi to get Varahi river water supply soon
In Karnataka, Udupi city will be provided drinking water supply from Varahi river and a dam will be constructed in Saligrama town panchayat limits. For the purpose, Rs 450 crore has been set aside under the phase two of Karnataka Urban Development and Coastal Environmental Management Project (KUDCEMP), said the State Urban Development Department and district in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.

The Tamil Nadu government plans to upgrade civic amenities like drinking water supply, drainage, sewerage, solid waste management across urban areas in the state at an investment of Rs 6,654.03 crore.
