Work on the 60-m wide 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway project is expected to begin by December. The government has completed acquiring 2,200 acres needed for the project, and only compensation remains to be paid. The expressway will cover a distance of 118 km, with six bypasses.

No bidders for Agra-Lucknow Expressway
For the proposed 270-km expressway between Agra and Lucknow no road developers have come forward. The Expressway project is a pet project of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The proposed express way is an eight-lane Greenfield project.
Brifen ropes to be installed on more spots on Pune e’way
To make travel safer for motorists on Pune-Mumbai Expressway, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is to install Brifen wire ropes at a few accident-prone spots of the 95-km-long expressway. A pilot project for the same expressway was carried out in March this year, along a 2.5 km stretch at Kamshet. It was a success. Now MSRDC plans to use the wire rope along the entire 95-km-long expressway.

Govt preparing study on Delhi-Jaipur Expressway project
The government has is preparing the feasibility study for Delhi-Jaipur Expressway project. It will be too early to state about likely time of completion at this stage. This was stated by Sarvey Sathyanarayana, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in response to a written question in Lok Sabha
Nandi Expressway to raise Rs 2,000 cr through IPO
Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) executing the Bangalore and Mysore espressway, plans to raise Rs 2,000 crore through an initial public offer (IPO).
