State Bank of India (SBI) will invest Rs 150 crore to establish a facility in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) at Gandhinagar. GIFT city is an initiative of Gujarat government to develop a hub for financial institutions.

India, Hungary firm tie-up for a joint gas monitoring system
For a gas monitoring system, Gujarat Info Petro has signed an agreement with Cason Engineering Plc, Hungary, in pursuant to the already signed MoU during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2013. Gujarat Info Petro is a subsidiary of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation.
The agreement was signed by VK Sharma, CEO, Gujarat Info, and Ferenc Szakács, Chairman and CEO of Cason, according to a release issued in Gandhinagar.
A’bad’s SG h’way expansion takes off, faces hurdle
After a delay of over six months, the widening work on an important stretch of the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway (NH 8-C), which connects the western part of Ahmedabad to the state capital (Gandhinagar) has finally taken off. The Rs 55-crore project has, however, hit a roadblock with the compound wall and sacred Nishan Sahib of Gobind Dham Gurudwara coming in the way of the expansion plan of the State Roads and Buildings Department.
GMB's EOC operationalised
An emergency operations centre (EOC) came into force in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on 26 January. The facility will provide virtual eyes to Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) and help it to monitor all the activities in the Gulf of Cambay (Khambhat).
