GMR Airports Limited (GAL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited, has won the international competitive bid for development and operation of Mopa Greenfield Airport in north Goa. The concession period for the greenfield project will be 40 years with a possible extension of another 20 years through a bid process. The airport will be built under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model.

GMR to build airport in Philippines
GMR Infrastructure has made an upfront payment of 14.4 billion Philippine pesos (about $320 m) and signed the concession agreement to develop and operate the Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines.
Megawide, GMR may bid for Philippines airport project
For development of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Philippines, a southeast Asian country, Megawide Construction Corp has reached an understanding with Indian infrastructure developer GMR Group. According to a recent filing by Megawide with the Philippines Stock Exchange, the tie-up between both the companies will come through only when the airport contract is awarded to them.
