For construction of the proposed ring road of Greater Imphal at a cost of Rs 240 crore, the Manipur government has started the necessary groundwork. On December 11, the State Works Minister Kh Ratankumar, along with an inspection team, inspected the potential route for the proposed ring road for the State capital.

Repair to key road in Imphal ahead of Sangai fest
In Imphal, the Manipur government is planning to revamp the roads around Palace Compound ahead of the Sangai Festival. The government said that process for construction of Sanjenthong bridge would start once designing of the bridge is completed.

Manipur govt mulls to widen all key roads in state
The Manipur government has sent a proposal to the Union government for upgradation of Jiribam-Churachandpur Road and widen all important roads in the state, the State Works Minister Kh Ratankumar said. The Minister was speaking as chief guest at a foundation laying ceremony for an RCC Bridge which is to be constructed over Khuga River to connect Lamjangphai and Thingchom in Churachandpur district on June 6.
Manipur’s Uripok-Kangchup road to be widened
The Manipur government is preparing to widen the Uripok Kangchup road. The widening of the road will be started from Uripok Sorbon Thingen to Iroishemba Chingjin and its breadth would be approximately 15 metres, the State Works Minister, Kh Ratankumar Singh said in the State Legislative Assembly on June 27. He said that necessary demarcation works has been started although no contractor has entrusted widening of the road.
