J&K rural road network to get Rs 710 cr
For development of rural roads in Jammu and Kashmir the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on June 25 announced Rs 710 crore additional grants. The sum is for land acquisition for expansion and upgradation of rural road network in the state. Singh made the announcement after a meeting with the Council of Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir during which he reviewed the progress of various development projects, especially the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme.

PM to inaugurate Mughal Road on June 25
In Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to inaugurate the Mughal Road later this month. However, the work on the historical road project connecting Border Districts of Poonch and Rajouri with Kashmir is not fully complete.
