Gujarat, widely acknowledged as the most business-friendly state in India, figures among the top five states that account for 69 per cent of the countryÂ’s total export earnings. It is also among two states, the other being Maharashtra, that together account for more than 46 per cent of the merchandise consignments from the country.

India to develop coal fields in Russia
India plans to further enlarge the scope of investment in the Russian commodity market to fuel its industries for coming decades. As part of this strategy India has offered to jointly develop coal fields and mines in Russia.
Railway stations turn to solar energy

States to put 82 blocks for auction by Oct-Nov: Mines Secy
The 12 mineral producing states will put 82 mining blocks containing minerals such as iron ore, bauxite, limestone under the hammer by October-November this year, according to a top government official.
Coal Ministry to settle project related issues
The Coal Ministry has informed the PMO that it is making all efforts to resolve the issues related to various mining projects at the Central as well as State level. The Ministry said it has also set up a portal on the lines of Project Monitoring Group to monitor the progress of mines.
