Coal Ministry to settle project related issues

The Coal Ministry has informed the PMO that it is making all efforts to resolve the issues related to various mining projects at the Central as well as State level. The Ministry said it has also set up a portal on the lines of Project Monitoring Group to monitor the progress of mines. The government has set up an ambitious target of achieving coal output of 1.6 billion tonnes over the next five years. ´Ministry of Coal is making all efforts to resolve the projects related issues with State/Central Government. We have also set up a portal on the lines of PMG for the purpose of monitoring the progress,´ Coal Secretary Anil Swarup said in a letter to the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
