The process is to begin shortly to construct an elevated road connecting Bandra-Kurla Complex and Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) said that in another month or so they will commence the process of inviting bids to construct the bridge linking the Eastern Express Highway and LBS Road to Bandra-Kurla Complex, the key business district of Mumbai.

In Mumbai, the second phase of the Eastern Freeway project, connecting south Mumbai to Ghatkopar, will be ready by next February. Currently, girders are being launched at the Ghatkopar end of the Freeway.
Peddar Road flyover to be built upto Girgaum Chowpatty
In Mumbai, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will go ahead with its original plan to build the flyover from Haji Ali-Girgaum Chowpatty. Now it will discard Mumbai Transformation Support UnitÂ’s (MTSU) plan for a shorter version of Peddar Road flyover covering only Cadbury Junction, said MSRDC.
Stir demands to pace up repairs to bridge
In Mumbai, residents of Kalina-Kurla area staged a road blockade (rasta roko) and demanded the authorities concerned to complete work immediately on the Kalina-Kurla bridge over Mithi river. The protesters blocked traffic on LBS Road to a standstill for close to half an hour.
