Nagpur’s airport runway to be re-carpeted
The runway re-carpeting work of Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport is scheduled to take place between December 15, 2013 and May 15, 2014. The last re-carpeting was done in 2004 and in between the traffic has increased manifold.
Nagpur Airport to get x-ray checking facility
For scanning luggage at Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport an X-ray machine will be installed. Currently, the x-ray machine is inside the terminal building and operated by the airline officials. Now, the newly acquired machine will be placed just outside the entrance and manned by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Mihan India (MIL) stated.

Rain-damaged Nagpur roads to be restored at Rs 100 cr
The Maharashtra government is to restore all the rain battered roads in Nagpur at a cost of Rs 100 crore. Nagpur roads were ravaged by rains that lashed the city since the past month. If needed, more funds would be sanctioned, said the State Employment Guarantee Scheme Minister Nitin Raut.
Nagpur civic body ignores to repair bad roads
Public and motorists in Nagpur complain that the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is not repairing bad roads but concentrating to mend the roads that are in good condition. The civic body pressed its jetpatcher pothole repair machine into service to repair the road connecting Raj Nagar (Raja Ram temple) to Chhindwara road, which was found to be not so bad. Taxpayers said this has exposed how the NMC authorities ignored the bad roads and the travails of common man on them.
Recarpeting soon for runway of Nagpur airport
Upon requesting the Airports Authority of India (AAI) by the MIHAN India Limited to recarpet the runway of Nagpur's Dr BabasahebAmbedkar International Airport, the AAI is in the process and has completed the tender process for allotting the work for re-carpeting the runway. Re-carpeting work on the runway is to begin after the monsoons.
