A default notice has been issued to Pink City Expressway company, the developer of Gurgaon-Jaipur highway, by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for not completing the work in time and poor maintenance even after the end of the 60-day deadline for remedial measures.

According to media reports and public complaints, the under construction flyovers on the 240 km Jaipur-Gurgoan highway have turned a nightmare to motorists. The highway has flyovers under construction every third km. NHAI charges around Re 1/km, about Rs 240 as toll. And this is going for the last so many years and the highway is getting worse, especially developing numerous potholes in this rainy season.

NHAI to cancel three highway projects

Media reports say that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Board on August 22 has decided to cancel three highway projects of PNC Infra, C&C Construction and Era Infrastructure. Sources concerned said that the developers had not paid the performance guarantee amount after winning the projects and that is why the Board has decided to cancel the highway projects. These developers would lose their bid security, which is one per cent of total project cost.
