Sambalpur to have a flyover to ease traffic congestion
In Odisha's Sambalpur, the Public Works Department has planned a flyover in the heart of the city, keeping in view the rising traffic. The proposed 700-metre overbridge will connect Church Road and Peerbaba Chhak and pass over Laxmi Talkies and Golebazaar Chhak, the two busy business hubs of the town. Though estimation of the project is yet to be finalised, officials said it would cost nearly Rs 20 crore to Rs 25 crore.
Foot overbridge soon at Hero Honda Chowk in Gurgaon
A foot overbridge (FoB) is to come up at Hero Honda Chowk in Gurgaon to ease movement of thousands of pedestrians and two-wheeler drivers crossing the Chowk. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is all set to give the final nod to the proposed foot overbridge (FoB). Delhi govt mulls another bridge over Yamuna
In accordance to the growing population and rapidly increasing number of vehicles registered in Delhi, the Public Works Department (PWD) is planning another bridge over the Yamuna. The new bridge, said PWD officials, would be built upstream on the Yamuna, further north of Wazirabad bridge. Engineers said a consultant would soon be appointed to suggest the alignment of the bridge.
Work on Gurgaon’s MDI Chowk flyover to begin in July
In Gurgaon, construction of a 600-metre-long flyover is expected to begin anytime in July, a senior Public Works Department (PWD) official said. The intersection connects Old Gurgaon areas with the New Gurgaon through Iffco Chowk and Signature Tower Chowk. Once it comes into being thousands of motorists commuting through the busy MDI Chowk can expect a sigh of relief.

In Delhi city at least 500 roads are going to be carpeted with concrete with their new owner, Public Works Department (PWD), looking to improve the life span of stretches prone to waterlogging. Most of these 500 roads were under the municipal corporation, till the PWD, a Delhi government department, took custody in 2012.
