In Pune area, an alternative road in Pimple Saudagar will be built by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to link the area to Sangvi-Kiwale bus rapid transit (BRT) route in the city. The existing two-km road from Planet Millenium to Rakshak chowk passes through defence areas.

Bad roads, flyover work bother PimpriChinchwad residents
Residents of Empire Estate housing colony in PimpriChinchwad of Pune area have complained about bad roads and traffic problems they are facing in their locality. Construction of a flyover by the PimpriChinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to connect Kalewadi and ChinchwadMIDC areas has become a problem for the residents. Pune’s Mumbai-Blore h’way junction renamed as NDA Chowk
The junction that joins Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway and Pune-Paud Road in Pune area was renamed NDA Chowk on April 20. The name change ceremony took place at the junction in the presence of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials. The junction also leads to a road to the NDA campus.
