AP to focus on non-hub airports
The Andhra Pradesh civil aviation policy will focus on developing non-hub airports in the region. The aims is to build new investment regions and give a fillip to tourism sector. Addressing the gathering at the inaugural event of the five-day India Aviation 2014 at Hyderabad recently, Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan has said that the state boasts of the country's first aerospace SEZ located within 15-km of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.

AERA abolishes UDF at Hyd Airport
The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) abolished the user development fee (UDF) at the Hyderabad airport. AERA concluded the decision after considering various aspects of the airport´s operations, including the investments made by the airport operator, land allocation, traffic trends and earnings. As a result, the cost of flying at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad will be cheaper from 1 April 2014 till 31 March 2016 for both domestic and inter-¡national embarking passenger

This is the second year in a row that RGIA has won the accolade for its Cargo operations and re-affirms RGIA's commitment to the industry and trade community by providing them with best-in-class infrastructure and services.
