The company has been the biggest beneficiary of an uptick in orders in roads, due to its dual business exposure and access to Rs 14 billion of cash inflows over FY2016-18E. The company is targeting order inflow of Rs 40-50 billion in the roads segment and Rs 5-8 billion in the power segment.

To invest in the road assets of Bangalore-based diversified conglomerate GMR Group, Malaysian sovereign fund Khazanah and SBI Macquarie have emerged as potential investors.

GMR Infrastructure plans to mop up around $200 million by offloading its road projects to private equity investors.Reports indicate that the company is discussing the sale with the UK based private equity firm 3i Group Plc, IDFC PE and SBI Macquarie.GMR is also looking at an eventual initial public offering of its road assets, reports suggest.
