In Rajasthan, the State Public Works Department (PWD) has decided to form flying squads to inspect the quality of road works in the state. A total of 10 flying squads will be formed. These teams will check to conform the roads made as per the norms laid down for quality control.

Road repairs sought in Aurangabad
Boards can be seen in Aurangabad on six roads, which say that maintaining or repairing the city roads is the responsibility of the State Public Works Department (PWD) and its not the task of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

A top highways ministry official said they had received a request and it was put before the newly appointed Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes.

Micro-surfacing of Dehradun city roads starts
To provide pothole free and smooth roads to Dehradun commuters, the State Public Works Department (PWD) has started doing micro surfacing on the city roads. Since the mercury is favourable during day time, department is facing no problem to complete the ongoing work on time.
