NOCL to commission Cuddalore refinery by 2015-end
Nagarjuna Oil Corporation Ltd (NOCL) plans to commission the first phase of its
Rs 25,000 crore Cuddalore refinery in Tamil Nadu by end of 2015, its Managing Director & CEO, S Ramasundaram said. NOCL is setting up a 6 million tonne-a-year oil refinery at Cuddalore in phase-I with a similar capacity unit planned in the second phase.
Kudankulam nuclear plant unit to reach full capacity

Suzlon Energy to raise Rs 1,500 crore
Pune-based Suzlon Energy is planning to raise about Rs 1,500 crore through selling its assets. Two of the fifteen assets, which the company plans to sell, are in abroad. These assets have components manufacturing facility and old plants. Suzlon wants to sell some of its assets in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. According to the company, the process of selling assets would at least take 12 to 18 months.
NHAI to float bids for road projects in TN
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will float bids for three important road projects in Tamil Nadu. These roads will connect Rameswaram reducing the travel time to the pilgrim island by road. NHAI has so far completed work in the 90 km stretch in the two-lane highway between Tiruchi and Ramanathapuram via Karaikudi. This highway with paved shoulders on NH 210 has been executed at a cost of Rs 374 crore.
