To address the problem of low voltage and power fluctuations in Mohali, five new grids would be set up by end of next year. Five grids of 66 kV capacity would be installed at several locations in town to enable even and sufficient electricity supply.

Mohali to get five new power grids of 66 KV
To overcome the problem of power shortage in Mohali, five new grids of 66 KV capacity will be set up within the next one year. As many as 200 transformers will also be replaced in the district for uninterrupted power supply to farmers and in rural areas.
