India has signed a deal with the United Arab Emirates, allowing the Gulf nation to fill the countryÂ’s strategic storage facility in southern India.
FinMin to compile list of projects for foreign governments
The finance ministry will compile a list of projects that can be offered to foreign governments that have pledged billions of dollars in investment. This could be the Narendra Modi government´s version of the project monitoring group set up by its predecessor to get stalled infrastructure development moving again.
Solar desalination plant
World´s largest solar-powered desalination plant is being planned by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The proposed plant would process more than 22 million gallons of potable water per day, according to reports. UAE said that the solar-powered new plant at Ras Al Khaimah emirate would also generate 20 MW of electricity.

India, UAE tie-up on air services
Following a two-day bilateral negotiation at Abu Dhabi on April 24 India and United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed an MoU on air services. The UAE had urged India to allocate additional 40,000 seats per week, grant Goa, Pune, Amritsar and Lucknow as additional points of calls, remove the maximum cap prescribed from each point of call in-term of seats/ frequency per week and allow 3rd country /domestic code share facility.
