Union Shipping Minister GK Vasan informed that the Maritime Agenda, 2010-2020 aims to create over 3 billion metric tonne port capacity. The different recommendations consists development of new berths, mechanisation of port handling plants, procurement of new equipment and also rising the draft levels at ports.
