Andhra CM clears Rs 12 bn worth road projects

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy cleared Rs 1,200 crore worth road projects in and around Hyderabad at a recent official-level meeting.

The Rs 1,200 crore project involves development of 16 radial roads with a combined length of 195 km to connect the inner ring road and outer ring road in the city.

Reddy approved the project after the municipal administration and finance department officials informed him that the 16 radial road projects are pending in the city.

According to the officials, 33 radial roads were identified originally for connecting the two ring roads. Out of these, twelve have been completed, while another five are under different stages of construction. Thus, 16 radial road projects were pending.

The meeting was also attended by the state Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, Municipal Minister M Maheedhar Reddy, Chief Secretary PK Mohanty and Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Sambob.
