In Nagaland, the Phesama and Kisama stretch of National Highway (NH)-29 would be completely cut off for a week starting August 2 as Border Road Organisation (BRO) has decided to give its serious effort to completely restore the stretch. The same stretch of the road near Kisama, Naga Heritage village cut off due to a massive landslide on July 12 but it was open for some time for small vehicles.
Commander 15 BRTF Tejpal Singh informed the public and commuters that the highway NH-29 Phesama near Kisama will be completely closed for about a week from August 2, 6 am onwards. He said around 40-50 per cent new alignment work was completed and the remaining would be completed as soon as possible. He appealed the public to extend their cooperation to enable to open up the road as early as possible.
