Assam to set up ring fence system

To detect power thefts in the state, the Assam government is to introduce ‘Ring Fence System,’ an advanced IT device system. With this, electricity theft might soon become a thing of past in Assam, says the State Power Minister Pradyut Bordoloi. The state government is to set-up the ‘Ring Fence System’ in the state soon. The Minister said with the system in place, stealing of power by anyone, be it individual or industry, almost "impossible".
