In Kerala, work on the proposed Kuttippuram-Puthupponnani National Highway (NH) will begin on February 10. The State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the work at a function to be held in Chamravattom. The highway is going to be constructed parallel to the existing NH 17.

Rs 20 cr allotted to bypass road in Kerala’s Kottayam dist
In Kerala's Kottayam district, the combined bypass road that connects MC road at Thiruvalla to KK Road in Manarcad will soon be a reality. The tendering process for upgrading the existing road is complete, said Jose K Mani MP on February 4. A fund of Rs 20 crore has been allotted by the Centre for the purpose from the Central Road fund, said Mani.
