To cater to its executives coming and going from Mineta San Jose International Airport in Silicon Valley, Google is building a private terminal there for its jets at a cost of $82-million. Construction was expected to begin late this year on the facility, which has been landed the slightly off-mark nickname of 'Google Airport.'

Six new airports to come up in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, as many as half-a-dozen new airports are either proposed or nearing completion. As such you can skip the tiresome journey to popular tourist and business towns in the state and opt for a flight, instead. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has stated that its plans to open an airport at Sawai Madhopur, home to the big cats. A team of AAI will visit Sawai Madhopur to find the possibilities of flight operation from this part of the state.
Goa govt asks AAI to renew permits of Dabolim airport
The Goa government has asked the Dabolim airport, managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in the state, to new permission from the it (Goa State government). The State government stated that the airport is running its terminal without valid consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1981 since November 2011.
IATA asks govts to adopt air passenger protection rules
To make air travel experience better for passengers in case of flight disruption, global airlines body International Air Transport Association (IATA) on June 4 asked governments to consider adopting consumer protection regulations without territorial limitations. IATA chief Tony Tyler said in Cape Town that airlines are aligned with governments in wanting to get their passengers to their destinations on time. But sometimes that is just not possible.
Govt to probe land acquisition for airport project

For Goa's Industrial Investment Policy, a State-government appointed taskforce has suggested industries like aviation, aero space, IT and ITES, pharma and integrated educational hubs. Atul Kane, head of the taskforce, said in Panaji that these industries were suitable to Goa, even as mining did not feature in the first batch of suggestions made by the taskforce.
Govt may limit premium airline seats
The Union government is likely to limit the number of seats that an Indian carrier can sell to passengers through pre-booking for a fee to 15 per cent to 20 per cent of the aircraft capacity. The aviation ministry is planning to ask airlines to limit this to the front and emergency row seats that have more legroom and the window and aisle seats of the second to fifth or sixth row.
