By March 2014, Punjab is all set to complete the Rs 3,284 crore project of four and six laning of four major roads of 400 km length. This was informed by State PWD Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon in Chandigarh on May 15.

Work on the 4/6 laning of 400 km national highways – Sambhu-Jalandhar, Bhogpur-Mukerian, Pathankot-Amritsar and Ludhiana-Talwandi are likely to be completed by March 2014, he said.

Dhillon said Rs 4,200 crore would be spent on road infrastructure during the year 2013-14.
