The Union Finance Ministry is considering various options to create infrastructure debt funds as India plans to spend over $1.5 trillion in next 10 years to revamp its crumbling infrastructure. The Planning Commission has proposed set up of a $11 billion infrastructure fund with the possibility of a separate fund for power generation.
