The Andhra Pradesh state govt has recently cleared the Project Implementation Report for phase-II development of Gangavaram Port at a cost of Rs 1,318.73 crore. The expansion works will commence soon after obtaining necessary approvals including environmental clearance. The expansion will be taken up within 1,800 acre currently available in the harbour.
