Highway in Blore becomes a threat to flying school

Media reports say that the elevated highway being constructed on Bellary road in Bangalore has become a threat to the Jakkur Government Flying Training School. The 30-feet high highway comes in the way of take-off and landing aircraft at the School.

Despite having discussed in the Parliament, no solution has been found for the problem. The highway is being constructed parallel to the 200-acre flying school’s runway.

It is said that the elevated runway impedes smaller aircraft such as the Cessna 152 and 172, both of which are used to train/instruct trainees. As a result, dual flying hours of a student has increased, say the media reports.
