A comprehensive road development project has been taken up to improve the overall condition of Hyderabad city roads, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has stated. The first phase of the project is to be initiated at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore.
But, before that, the proposal would be placed before the next general body meeting for approval.
The road repair project will incorporate facilities for drainage pipelines, medians, footpaths and ducts for running cables. At the same time, as an immediate measure to better the road conditions, works on potholes and patches would commence across the city next week, GHMC said.
