India International Road and Transportation Fair (IIRTF)

Transport being the most important and complex subject in the modern world where safe, quick and cost effective movement of men, machines and materials, is the objective of all governments and businesses. The new Indian government has focused on all modes of transportation, be it by road, rail, water, or air. When the demand of development increases, there will be a need to attend to high volume of men, machines and materials. The capacity building of the road and transportation sector needs to be made to improve upon the execution potential. Keeping this into mind, India International Road & Transportation Fair (IIRTF) is being organised by CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI), New Delhi jointly with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), New Delhi during September 17-19, 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Though it is the first edition, it will be a great event being supported by the domain knowledge of CSIR-CRRI, and event management and infrastructural support of ITPO. The event would be the biggest event in the road and transportation sector in the country and would be the best forum for showcasing new technologies by national and international players. It will be the annual meeting point for business and technology people involved in the sector. A couple of seminars are being organised during the fair to deliberate on key issues that surrounds the profession. Being supported by key concerned ministries like Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Shipping, Ministry of Defence, etc., engineers from agencies like State PWDs, Rural Works Departments, Transport Departments, Development Authorities, Metros, Oil Companies etc. are expected to participate.
